FMP: FINAL EVALUATION
What happened was that I first got the idea months before we even started the FMP. I got the idea to make a short film about a serial killer vlogging his experience, so I used that for my FMP as I thought it was a cool and unique idea that not many people would expect me to do. I proposed my idea and it got greenlit so i was able to fully expand the idea with storyboards and a script as well as indepth primary and secondary research. It was hard trying to form a personality on multiple personality disorders but it was fun. I then recorded the planned scenes with the knowledge of how my character has to act and I believe I did a great job. I did not have to worry about creative camera angles as the whole point of the short film is that its almost as if I am constantly breaking the 4th wall. Post-Production was simple as I just had to create the formula for the editing then proceed to use that formula throughout the whole short film. While doing all of this I would be constantly updating my Journal 3 entrees a week. This whole FMP happened between as early as January (November if you want to count when I first got the idea) and finished in May. I have been doing the work either at home or at the college. I worked on my own so I did everything but i did get 2 of my friends to help act in the short film and they did a fantastic job too. The outcome of this is a lot of research and alot of documented information on how I created my short film as well as the short film itself.
Throughout the situation I have been feeling stress for trying to get lots of work done on time but I have also had lots of fun when it came to the filming and the editing. The least fun part was the research but I really enjoyed making the storyboard and coming up with the script for my short film. At the start I was very excited to start but was also feeling overwhelmed at the same time as I did not know if i was capable of completing this as last year i wasn't able to complete my video although still managed to get a distinction but overall I really wanted to get all of my work fully completed. After everything now that I am almost finished I feel super relieved that not only did I manage to fully make the short film but I also managed to complete everything else to a standard that I'm satisfied with, I am aware there are more I can do to improve but with the time I had im happy with what I did. I worked on this every day so whatever happens I know I put all of my effort into this and I did not waste a single day. I have only talked to one other person about their FMP and from my discussions it sounded like he was in a similar boat to me with stressing about trying to get everything done before the deadline to a good standard. As for everyone as a whole I have no idea but if I had to guess I assume most of them either did what they wanted to do or what they thought was easy and doable which I can respect. I hope everyone is happy with what they managed to achieve as from what I've seen everyone in the class is capable of doing really well in this subject. I hope I get to see their creations as well as I would love to see the passion other people put in their FMP. I assume everything is just like me at the minute and is just relieved to get the work done in for the deadline. Now that it's all over I think I did a good job with the FMP overall. I can't wait to show my friends the whole thing although in ny own time I do want to add more scenes to the short film and expand it just for my own personal enjoyment.

The only thing I researched that really helped me were the mental disorders. Everything else I researched didn't help me nearly as much as the mental disorders and at times it felt like filler content that was wasting my time from creating my short film but I understand that it is mandatory. Another bad thing I experienced was that I was clueless to how to structure my website but i managed in the end and my tutors approve of it so it's good. What went well was that I managed to get everything fully finished on time to a good standard as one of the major things I was worried about was failing to finish the video on time as well as the research and the production but I managed to crack on and get everything done on time which I'm very pleased with. I'd say what didn't go so well was the pre-production stage as I feel as if I could have done better with the research but as I mentioned earlier that felt a bit pointless so my motivation to do the research was low. I contributed torwards the whole project in terms of everything that isn't production. In terms of production I had 2 of my friends act in my short film and hold the camera taking turns. They did a very good at acting and holding the camera as well as giving ideas on the days of recording, improvising. They did a very good job and had a massive positive impact on the short film and I'm very grateful for them to contribute towards the film spending time out of their day to participate.
Things went well because I was prepared and planned everything and I had alot of help from the tutors helping me with feedback and providing templates and checklists and other useful information to help me get the best grade I can get. If things did not go well I would guess that it would be me being under prepared and expecting too much from me to pull off which means that I would still have so much work left to do by the deadline but fortunately that was avoided.
I have learnt how to form a story involving a complex character and how to progress that story within a limited time with limited resources. I have also learnt how to direct fellow actors when shooting a scene. I have developed the skill to balance everything when creating a short film while under pressure. I can confidently say that I have gained the skill of time management. If I had to do the same thing again I would try to improve keeping it interesting to myself as I did find most of the researching phase pointless which lead to me finding it very uninteresting and I was not invested.
FEEDBACK
For this section i showed some of my friends the title sequence to my short film and told them all to give their unbiased opinion on what they liked and what they didn't like. These were the responses i got:
