FMP: POST-PRODUCTION

Video Editing

The editing of the short film is a process that includes me and a second editor and the both of us overlooking the footage and putting in both of our input (my vision with the editors experience) and recently (much closer to the FMP deadline) I've gotten a 3rd more experienced editor to help out with the process. Both of these editors have a lot more experience with premiere pro and after effects than I do so this is a very good adjustment for the overall result of Dreamcatcher. As for the editing itself we cut together the footage and colour correct the visuals to fit the context of the scene both story lore wise and atmosphere of the setting itself wise. We have also added artificial shading and blur to help pull the attention of the shot onto the main focus of the shot. Due to the editors being busy we have not been able to make much progress with the editing as so far we have only edited the first scene of the short film and that's not fully complete yet

Title Sequence

For the title sequence I got in contact with a VFX editor and me and him went on a call and went through making the title sequence together with me overlooking everything and both of us adding ideas that would improve the overall look of the title sequence, I am very satisfied with how it turned out.

Music Production

The final credits of the film was going to feature a song made by a musician and this song was edited using Logic but unfortunately due to personal complications the musician is not allowing me to use the song for the credits (as it was designed to be) so I will have to find a pre existing song as a replacement. Because of this personal complication I do not have any visuals to provide evidence of this soundtrack being made or edited. I do have another musician but less experienced who is making intense ambience noises for some of the scenes which include drone noise and faint piano keys playing, I do not have any evidence of this as this musician was Introduced to the project late due to the personal compliment with the original musician.
