VLOG
Reflective Journal
I was tasked to create a vlog between 10-16 minutes. A vlog can be about anything from gaming to a daily life. I took the opportunity to meet up with my friends and use my experience from that day as my vlog. I was originally going to do a gaming vlog but I thought that would've been boring and not original. The main highlight of the vlog is when we attempt to recreate the blue meth from breaking bad (a popular tv show) where I was portraying a host and my friend would portray the cook and everyone else would be recording, getting different camera angles. Everything else that was recorded was added in there to extend the length of the video to the required time (i got mine to 12 minutes). Before the day i was nervous as i wouldn't know how it would turn out but after the day i felt relieved and when I was editing the video I was really satisfied with how it went. It is embarrassing to watch back but atleast its way more entertaining than if I did a boring gaming vlog where I just play a game for 10 minutes. What could've went well is that it could've been more organised and more staged especially since the whole segment of me playing the character of the tv host was entirely improvised but that's also a good thing as it's way more genuine. What's good is that I now know what it takes to create a vlog and how much thought needs to go into making one if you want it to be successful and entertaining. I would say that I would improve my on camera performance but I believe I did well! Everything else in the vlog is entirely filler to reach the required time mark so i wish I had planned something else to exchange that filler with actual content but other than that I'm confident that I did good with this assignment.
Interactive Media
WHAT IS INTERACTIVE MEDIA?
Interactive media is a method of communication in which the output from the media comes from the input of the users. Interactive media works with the user's participation. The media still has the same purpose but the user's input adds interaction and brings interesting features to the system for better enjoyment. The user present their actions through content such as text, moving image, animation, video, audio and video games.

5 EXAMPLES OF INTERACTIVE MEDIA
- Gaming
- Websites
- Television
- Netflix
- E-Books

GAMING
Gaming is the action of playing video games and video games are an electronic game that involves interaction with a user interface or input device such as a joystick, controller, keyboard, or motion sensing device to generate visual feedback for a player. This means that gaming is an example of interactive media.
Throughout the many decades gaming has improved so much from where it began with starting from being able to move 2 directions in pong to being able to do anything you want while also sharing the same experience online with other players. It has also become alot more accessible to people throughout the years so now more people have and will have access to gaming compared to the earlier stages of gaming.

History Of Vlogging
The first ever person who was widely regarded as the first ever blogger was Justin Hall as he started publishing to links.net witj new info he found around the early internet. The ever vlog was from a guy called Adam Kontras who posted a video alongside a blog entry about his move to LA to pursue showbiz. Filmmaker Steve Garfield also started a vlog and dubbed 2004 as the "year of the vlogs". In 2005 YouTube was launched. Co-founder Jawed Karim uploaded the first YouTube vlog "me at the zoo". In 2010 smart phones were introduced and open the doors for everybody to vlog.

History Of Radio
The earliest stations were radiotelegraphy systems. Transmission of telegrams. They did not carry audio. From about 1920 to 1945, radio developed into the first electronic mass stadium, monopolizing "the airwaves" and defining, an entire generation of mass culture. About 1945 the appearance of television began to transform radio's content and role. Broadcast radio remained the most widely available electronic mass medium in the world, bit its importance in modern life did not match that of television and in the early 21st century it faced yet more competitive pressure from digital satellite and internet-based audio services. Based on the human voice, radio is a uniquely personal medium, invoking a listener's imagination to fill in mental images around the broadcast sounds. More readily and in a more widespread fashion than any other medium, radio can soothe listeners eith comforting dialogue or background music or it can jar them back into reality with polemics and breaking news.

Podcast
A Podcast is a digital audio file made available on the internet for downloading to a computer or mobile device. It is usually a recurring series of the same hosts sometimes featuring special guests. The first ever podcast was created in 2001. Podcasting used to be called "audioblogging". Now anyone has the ability to create a following via podcasting.
In this podcast I talk about different actors who have portrayed the Joker, this includes; Cameron Monaghan, Heath Ledger, Joaquin Phoenix, Jack Nicholson, Jared Leto and Mark Hamill. I talk without any plans or script so it is a bit unorganized but it's completely fine because I didn't need to do any research as I was knowledgeable enough on the subject to carry the podcast on my own with no research. Overall the podcast is 11 minutes long with little cuts in the audio and it's just a black screen so I'm not showing any images. There are also no background music so as you can see there are lots of room for improvements but I'm still satisfied with the final video as in my opinion a podcast doesn't havnt to he watched it just has to be listened to so having no images doesn't bother me and having no music is fine as it helps make my voice stand out and be clear and heard.
