Researching an Interview

This Inteview is about Robert De Niro

Interviewee: Martin Scorsese

So you are going to be interviewing Martin Scorsese who is a popular film director but he has also been a producer, a screenwriter and an actor. He is considered to be a major figure of Hollywood. He has taken part in a huge number of movies that involve Robert De Niro (9 Feature length Films). The two have been pals for more than 40 years. With their friendship beginning back in 1973 movie "Mean streets". When Robert De Niro was aked about their special bond Niro said he "Can't imagine my life without Scorsese"

We're interviewing him this now because of the duo's latest big project "The Irishman" might be Martin Scorseses' final picture (Said by Scorsese himself) and we want to look back on Robert De Niros work with Scorsese.

This interview is about Robert De Niro. This is happening because it is likely that this will be De Niros final collaboration with Scorsese. This statement came out late 2019. The Interview is happening in 2 days in New York as that is where Scorsese lives. This happened because Robert de Niro is considered to be one of the greatest actors of all time, this is stated by the public and countless critics.

Here are some questions suggested by me to ask Martin Scorsese about Robert De Niro:

1. What was it like working with Robert De Niro on "Mean Streets" (Their first collaboration) compared to what it's like to work with him on "The Irishman" (Their most recent collaberation)

2. Where do you see Robert lie in the history of film? Do you see him as an extraordinary creator or just the same as others?

3. Do you think your movies would be anywhere near as successful without Robert De Niro?

4. What are your thoughts on Robert De Niros other movies? (The ones that you didnt collaborate with)

5. What is the most important lesson Robert De Niro has taught you?

6. What is your favourite film you've worked on with Robert De Niro?

ME ANSWERING THE QUESTIONS

In this part i answer questions 1,2,3 and 6 as Martin Scorsese.

1. When i first witnessed his performance in mean streets I knew there was so much potential in him and throughout the years hes truly shown the world what he is capable off. His performance for the Irishmen was way more improved than mean streets as at this point he has unlocked his true potential from over the years and it's truly amazing to see.

2. I might come across as biased but I see Robert as one of the best actors I've ever worked with. The effort he puts into the roles he plays are extraordinary. In my opinion he will go down in history as one of the most influential actor in TV history.

3. Absolutely not. Robert accurately portrays my characters truly turning my imagination to real life. I can't imagine any other actor successfully achieving this, And of course the chemistry between us obviously helped with my movies.

6. Taxi Driver, Roberts role as Travis Bickle is something I've never seen before. He wasn't playing Travis Bickle. He WAS Travis Bickle and seeing that transformation was disturbing to witness but truly magical when it comes to the performance.

3 act story structure for my character

3 ACT STRUCTURE

ACT 1: 1.Inciting Incident = We are introduced to Jeremy in a dark cold room speaking to the camera and then he shows someone with a bag over their head who is tied to a chair. It then cuts to Jeremy in frame to the camera looking blankly at the floor, his head slowly goes up and he looks at the camera saying "I did it again today, I did the bad thing again" he then gets up and pans the camera over to a corpse. He starts silently singing to the corpse while simulataniously telling him to wake up. His voice showing more frustration each time he asks. The camera then cuts to Jeremy with goggles on with a knife in one hand and a bottle of bleach in the other. The camera turns off.

ACT 2: 2.act break/ lockin = We see Jeremy in his garden on a sofa speaking to the camera giving his basic details. He then confesses to murdering people. He tells his story about when it all started. When he got his first taste. Once he crossed that line it got so easy. He hasn't been able to stop. In hindsight he blames his parents for this because they gave birth to him. The camera cuts off.

3.Midpoint = We then see Jeremy dragging someone who is tied up with tape over his mouth. They're in the basement but then there's knocking at the door and Jeremy checks it out. The guy is left muffling for a few minutes until Jeremy comes back and thanks the guy for being so patient then proceeds to choke him to death with his belt. He then looks directly into the camera and smiles at it. Camera cuts to black.

ACT 3: 4.Act break/culmination = The camera cuts to Jeremy looking like a mess with messy hair and a glass of alcohol in his hand. He speaks to the camera. Saying that if he was the devil why would he feel remorse but if he were a man why would he do the things that he do. He's not good. He's not evil. He guesses it has something to do with his childhood because that's where they always turn but to be honest it wasn't anything bad. Yes, his parents are divorced, yes, there was always tension in the house and his father was a bit of a drunk and sometimes abusive. He then proceeds to say that he has to believe that his actions are his own. He is fully responsible. He alone his the creator of his destiny and him alone. He cannot stop the pleasure he gets from decapitating a corpse. He compares it to a heroin addiction, even though he understands fully aware if the abnormality of it he simply cannot stop. It's clearly an addiction. In the end, if he were to die today or if he were to get caught, he would welcome it, because then he could finally stop the disease that controls him. Even now his mind is somewhere else. He would like help but he knows in his gut that there is nothing that can help him. The battle is his and his alone and in this battle there will be many more victims before his defeat. He is sorry to the victims of his past. He is sorry to the victims of his future. "I am sorry" he then glances at his glass of alcohol blankly. The camera cuts to black.

5.Climax/Resolution = The camera cuts to a man tied to a chair with a bag over his head (its the same from the start) Jeremy presents like a show host "Who do we have here, drum roll please" then proceeds to aggressively knock on the wall. He then starts to sing the same song he sung earlier (act 1) but louder and then proceeds to be much more louder. He then takes the bag of his head. "I'd like to introduce the world to Mr. Elbertson. Or as i like to put it. "Dad". You probably wondering what type of son am I, ok I'll tell you. I'm the type of son that was teased relentlessly, that wasn't good enough. Do you have any idea the kind of repercussions you left me with?" Jeremy then drinks a mouth full of water and spits it at his dad "WAKE UP!" Jeremy then walks off camera. For a dozen seconds its just pure silence until we hear a high pitch machine noise. Jeremy then walks back in frame with a fully functioning buzz saw, he slowly walks torwards his father. The camera fades to black.

Roles in Radio

The Radio industry have a large number of roles and everyone plays a part into creating a successful radio station. There are many unknown roles that not alot of people are aware of.

Roles:

General Manager: This role requires lots of leadership skills as they are responsible for the whole operation of a radio station. This means they need to understand how a radio station operates as if there's any problems they can help by quickly assigning someone to help or they can help.

Station Announcers: This role requires a clear and confident voice as these are the people who introduce the music and read out adverts and public service announcements. This is the voice who the public mainly identifies with.

Marketing Manager: This role promotes the stations image and it's activities. This role are also responsible for other forms of promotion from promotion materials to the website to outside broadcasts.

News Reporter: Radio Reporters identify and research news stories then present them on air to a wide range of different audiences. Some of their work is office or newsroom-based, but they are expected to spend much of their time outside gathering Primary Research from witnesses to recording events and interviewing those involved.

Chief Engineer: The Chief Engineer is responsible for the technology necessary to put the station's programming "on-the-air" within the station's broadcast area. The engineer works to maintain existing broadcasting capabilities and provide quick solutions to problems that may arise with the transmitter, the studio or other related equipment.

Researching a Hot Topic (Death Row)

The Hot Topic I have looked into is neither the death penalty is effective or not. On one hand the death penalty is effective because it will deter some people becoming criminals, Specifically, the murderers. The death penalty is used more as a threat to other people. On the other hand giving a criminal the death penalty is much more expensive than keeping them locked up for life because as a persons life is on the line they need more lawyers and experts on both sides of the case. Another reason why it's not effective is that an innocent person could be wrongfully accused and given the death penalty as 4% of the people who died from the death penalty were later revealed to be actually innocent. Another problem is that its morally wrong. Sure they may deserve the punishment but that just makes the people in charge of the execution as bad as them.

Personally i believe the death penalty should be abolished everywhere.

This is America Music Video Research

The main focus of the video is about guns and violence in Amercia.

Gambino uses popular hip hop and African dances in the video to show how popular pieces of culture lose their uniqueness as they become more present.

The part where Gambino guns down the choir kids is a reference to a real life incident, the 2015 Charleston shooting where a white supremacist killed 9 black students in a church basement.

The final part includes Gambino running away from a group of people (i think they're all white, it's too dark and too blurry to see) while the lyrics "your just a black man in this world, your just a barcode" I believe this is referencing the slavery especially as you can see the fear on Gambinos' face as he's running for his life.

The whole video takes place in a warehouse.

The beginning shows a black man being shot then proceeds to show his body being dragged away while the gun gets treated with more care.

The silence in the video is 17 seconds long (Between 2:44 - 3:00) which refers to a real life incident to the stoneman Douglas high school shooting where 17 students were killed by a 19 year old former student, Nicholas Cruz.
